What is a speech-language pathologist?
A speech-language pathologist (SLP) is a trained professional who specializes in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders. We can work with individuals across all age groups, from children to adults.
SLPs can address a range of issues, including language disorders, articulation problems, fluency disorders (stuttering), voice disorders, pragmatic language, literacy, accent modification, and cognitive-communication difficulties. We also can provide therapy for those experiencing swallowing difficulties, which can affect nutrition and overall health.
The work of an SLP often involves creating personalized treatment plans that may include exercises, activities, and strategies to enhance communication skills and improve quality of life. SLPs collaborate closely with families, educators, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care and support for their clients.

Why are we called “Minnie ME”?
“Minnie” means “mother.”
“ME” is an acronym for “Mah-Eul”, which is “village” in Korean.
We want to create a village for parents/caregivers who are going through similar stages of parenthood facing similar struggles and joys!
